Ever wonder why your Facebook posts get lost in the newsfeed while others seem to get endless likes and comments?
Here are 5 quick tips to help you break through and be the post that keeps popping to the top of the feed.
- Use a colorful image of you. People want to see who you are and get to know you. Remember, if you’re a coach or creative in the online space, you are your brand, so share that in the images you post.
- Add a short, catchy headline on the image. You’ve got 3 seconds to grab someone’s attention, so make the text on your image big and right to the point!
- Include a call to action – that’s right, ask your audience to do something. Maybe it’s clicking on a link when you’re giving away free content, but it can be just as simple as asking them to comment. And, bonus – every time someone comments, it pushes your post back to the top.
- Be helpful, be relevant, and add value. Think about what your ideal client wants to know. Offer tips and free content to help them overcome their big challenges. (Think I dreamed this blog out of nowhere? No – my ideal clients have been asking about it.)
- Remember that it’s Social Media not Selling Media. Yes, there are times when you want to promote or share your free content or your coaching services, but think 80% social, 20% selling. No one wants to be bombarded with offers…no matter how cool they are!
Yay – you’ve got this <3You’ve got this <3
