Did you crush your April goals? Or did you fall short?
For me, it was a little of both – I hit the ball out of the park for some, but swung and missed on others.
When that happens, it can be easy to focus on what you didn’t get done rather than what you accomplished. It’s also easy to get discouraged if you’re working on something big but it just doesn’t pan out the way you imagined.
That’s why at the beginning of every month, I hit the re-set button, review my goals, and give my mindset a bit of a reboot!
If you want to do the same, here’s a simple 5-step process to help you get your mind right so you can crush your goals for May and be well on your way to making 2nd quarter your best yet:
- Write down your goals for the month. Be specific about the number of clients, the amount of money you want to make, and any other details related to growing your tribe.
- For each goal, write down any fears or limiting beliefs you have about achieving it. Be TOTALLY honest with yourself. We all carry so many fears and limiting beliefs around with us, so remember that you’re not alone and please don’t judge yourself as you do this.
- Next, look at each fear or limiting belief you wrote down and ask yourself, “Why is this fear/limiting belief just utter BS?” The moment you confront those fears and limiting beliefs, you’ll see how little power they have over you!
- Now, it’s time to leave your fears and limiting beliefs behind and create what will become your focus: new beliefs that will help you achieve your goals. So look at your goals again and ask yourself, “What beliefs would the successful person who achieved these goals need to have?” Write every single one of those beliefs out on a separate sheet of paper.
- So now you have your new beliefs, you’ve got to eat, sleep, and breathe them – okay, maybe that’s a little bit of an exaggeration…but not much! The only way these will truly become your beliefs and your primary thought system is if you develop a daily practice of reading them, visualizing them, and literally programming them into your mind.
So as you kick off the month of May, get clear on the beliefs you need to reach your goals and create a daily mindset practice that works for you. Even if it’s just 5-10 minutes – it doesn’t really matter exactly how long you spend, just that you engage in it consistently. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
It’s gonna be a great month – here’s to your success!!!
You’ve got this.
I believe in you! <3 🙂
